Description

DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR Part 6.302-1). The purpose source is Stryker Instruments, 4100 E. Milham Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. North Florida South Georgia has a requirement for service and maintenance support of Stryker powered surgical instruments in use in the OR and dental department in the Gainesville, FL VA Medical Center. The Period of Performance of the contract is for a base period of 12 months with four 12- month option periods Services will be performed by a field engineer technically trained on Stryker powered surgical instruments. The field engineer will come twice a year to inspect and run diagnostics on all covered equipment. Any equipment found during this time or suspected at other times to be functioning improperly will be repaired or replaced as necessary under this contract. Overnight loaners will be provided for any equipment shipped off-site for repair. The repair and maintenance of these powered surgical instruments does not involve sensitive information, however, the contractor will be required to enter the Gainesville VA OR and may come into contact with sensitive information in that area by chance. Services include: "Two preventive maintenances per unit per year "Complimentary replacement or loaners with overnight delivery "Unlimited repairs and service calls "All emergency calls are included as well as all travel, labor, and parts "Any necessary safety modification to the equipment at no charge to the customer THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 811219. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than December 16, 2015 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to Richard.frase@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award.
