- Description
- The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) intends to award a Sole Source contract extension under contract DU100F-15-C-05, to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services LLC at 13600 EDS DR. Herndon VA 20171 for Data Center Support and Application Hosting Services under authority 6.302-1. The HUD Enterprise and Architecture Transition (HEAT) initiative is a Departmental priority that targets the strategic alignment to federal wide mandates for data center consolidation, cybersecurity, and Green IT, as well as the modernize the Department's IT infrastructure. To meet this priority, the US Department of Urban and Housing Development (HUD) require continuous operations, of its data centers. The contractor shall provide data center support and application hosting services. The contractor shall plan, document and execute all the activities and responsibilities involved with the planning and migration of current systems and services within the designated data centers The contractor shall relocate the data center to a designated government site in support of HUD stakeholders and IT infrastructure vendors and shall be responsible for the required project planning, management, communications, reporting, and execution of all applicable activities and tasks. During the project, the contractor shall conduct an analysis and evaluation with system owners to identify and verify dependencies, impacts, risks, and mitigation plans. The contractor shall be responsible for the coordinating, scheduling, packing, and shipping services that ensure the safe and secure transportation and tracking of all hardware and software. After data center relocation execution and initial system stabilization, the contractor shall be responsible for any adjustments to realign and integrate new facility support, services, and tenant responsibilities. Once all HUD IT infrastructure systems have migrated to new HUD designated data center facilities, the contractor shall re-establish and provide the day-to-day infrastructure, hardware, software and system administration, performance monitoring and management responsibilities for three years.
