- Construction project: Dworshak Dam - Powerhouse Road Chip Seal and Viewpoint Road Striping. The work described herein at Dworshak Dam has three roads leading from highway 7 to three different locations on the dam that are in good condition. One of the three roads, the road leading to the powerhouse, has some minor cracking and an existing cut and patch down the middle of the road the entire length that the contractor will repair. The Powerhouse road will be crack sealed, entrance gate will be widened by 4 feet for 100 feet in length by the barricades, and chip seal the one long mile road. All three roads will be restriped with a fog line and a double yellow center line for a total of 5.1 miles. The view road has an additional lane with a white dashed line for 1.85 miles and there is one stop bar to be restriped on the ‘A' Road. Visitor Center Road has the following approximate amount of striping work to be performed: 4.8 miles white fog line, 2.4 miles double yellow centerline, 1.85 miles white center skip line and.1 miles solid white line. The "A" road has the following approximate amount of striping to be performed: 3.4 Miles of white fog line, 1.7 miles double yellow centerline and one Stop Bar. The Powerhouse road has the following approximate amount of striping to be performed: one mile crack seal, one mile asphalt patching, 100' of 4' wide 6" base course and 3" asphalt. Place of Performance is the Dworshak Dam located near Ahsahka, Idaho, Clearwater County. All on-site work shall be performed in accordance with the Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1). Solicitation is open to both large and small businesses concerns. Solicitation Number W912EF-16-B-0003 will be posted to the FedBizOpps (FBO) website on or about 18 December, 2015. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. A site visit will be offered approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is posted. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. This will be a firm fixed-price construction contract. Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. A bid bond is required in the amount of 20 percent of the total bid price. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price are required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237310 and the associated small business size standard is $36.5 million.
