- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to solicit vendors capable of providing biomedical waste pickup and disposal, to include pickup, transport, treat and dispose of biomedical (infectious) waste(s) and foreign port of origin (FPO) waste(s) as required by Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL and several other locations specified in the Performance Statement of Work. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE ONLY: This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov). The complete statement of work and technical specifications will be provided in the Request for Quotations (RFQ). The anticipated release date of the RFQ is on or about 02 December 2015. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced contract. No solicitation document exists at this time. This procurement will be for Unrestricted Acquisition using acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5. This contract is anticipated to have a 12 twelve-month base period and four (4), one-year, option periods. The RFQ will be made available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (www.neco.navy.mil) web sites. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced websites frequently for updates. No paper copies of these documents will be issued. Offerors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award (www.sam.gov).This procurement will be unrestricted and is identified under NAICS Code 562211 Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal with the small business size standard being $ 38.5 million.
