- Description
- The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Progressive Industries Inc. of Chicago, IL, the current supplier of oxygen, to continue to provide bulk oxygen for five (5) of the Network Contracting Office's (NCO12) VA Medical Centers. These VA Medical Centers are located in Hines, IL, North Chicago, IL, Madison, WI, Tomah WI and Milwaukee, WI. The current oxygen contract is set to expire on 11/30/2015 with no additional extensions available, and a new regional contract will not be awarded until sometime in 2016. This is a onetime interim purchase order, and it is clinically imperative until the SAO Central Regional contract is awarded. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 325120. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee WI 53214 or via fax to (414) 844-4888. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source.
