- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This announcement is seeking information from industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this sources sought, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. This sources sought notice is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This notice is a market research tool used for planning purposes only to gain knowledge of the interest, capabilities and qualifications of SDVOSB. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government plans to proceed with an acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. Responses to this sources sought are not an adequate response to the solicitation announcement. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation at this time. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The Government contemplates soliciting Firm Fixed-Price Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Construction projects for the Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District utilizing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS Code 236220. Work envisioned will include sustainability, renovation, modernization and construction work within the geographic boundaries of the Kansas City District, but may be used to support other similar projects within the Northwestern Division (NWD) of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Individual projects may incorporate facility maintenance, road/traffic improvements, and building/facility construction to include reinforced concrete foundations, steel frame and roof system, insulated metal walls, utilities and all other necessary work for complete and usable support facilities. Supporting facilities can include site utilities; electric service; security lighting; fire protection and alarm system; paving, walks, curbs, and gutters, parking and site improvements; storm drainage; and information systems. Projects may include special foundations, connection to Energy Monitoring and Control Systems (EMCS) and installation of Intrusion Detection System (IDS). Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures include blast resistant windows and doors, architectural reinforcement, mass notification, HVAC controls, conduit for security systems, and general structural reinforcements. The following information is requested from this Sources Sought Notification (Response should be no more than 10 pages): 1. Firm's name, addresses, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Firm's DUNS number 3. Firm's interest in providing a proposal on a pending solicitation, once issued. 4. Firm's capability to perform a contract of potentially up to $10,000,000. 5. List the competitive advantages that your firm can offer in terms of cost. 6. Does your company have previous work experience working in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District 7. Experience: Evidence of successful construction experience on Design-Build projects between $1 million and $10 million in magnitude completed or at least 50% complete within the last 5 years. Include contract numbers, project titles, total project dollar values and points of contact with current contact information to include telephone and facsimile numbers and e-mail addresses. Include the project name and description of the key features of the project (i.e., square footage, multi-story, etc.), completion date, total contract value and your company's level of involvement in the project. Please provide at least one point of contact (with email address and phone number) for project validation. 8. In the past 5 years, has your firm demonstrated the ability to complete a project greater than $10,000,000.00? If so, please provide the information requested in paragraph 7. above for the project. 9. Any documented LEED experience on vertical construction projects. 10. Please confirm that your firm's small business category is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and state its business size as related to NAICS code 236220. 11. Firm's Joint Venture information, if applicable. 12. Firm's Bonding Capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate bonding level, both expressed in dollars).
