Description
1. Synopsis This Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, NBK Bremerton, WA is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirements planning for a minimum of (14) modular workspaces and 3-5 electronic file systems (to be located in a separate workspace location). The information requested by this Sources Sought will be used to gauge industry interest. Please note: DLA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this synopsis. The applicable Federal Supply Classifications are: 7100 and 7110. 1.1 Overview Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at NBK Bremerton, WA will be conducting a sight visit on Thursday, 7 January 16 at 1000 local time. DLA Land and Maritime's potential near-term future requirements involve tear down and removal of the existing ~12 modular workstations and installation of a minimum of (14) modular work spaces in an office space with the approximate measurements of 56', 10" L x 24', 10" W. This office space has constraints such as, two large pillars within, other "dead" space areas, and non-relocatable computer network drops. In addition, the second requirement is involves tear down and removal of an existing file system (non electronic) in a separate location and installation of 2-10 electronic file systems. 1.2 Objectives The purpose of the site visit is to generate interest in work to be performed, to further define workspace layout plan/design taking into account the workspace constraints, and to obtain industry feedback on possible furniture related items. Furniture quality and standards may vary and will be discussed in more detail at the site visit. The requiring activity will be on hand for questions and clarifications. Contracting personnel will be in attendance to answer any contracting related questions. Capability information in terms of the ability to provide the office furniture and perform the tear down, removal, and installation services. Capability information should include a brief description of experience in providing modular workstations and electronic file systems as well as experience working with other large organizations in the procurement and management of furniture assets and related services. The capability package must be clear and concise. DLA is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. Capability packages should be limited to no more than 25 pages. Identification of business size and whether currently designated a Small Business concern as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR part 19.1 and the appropriate categories (small business (SB), small disadvantaged business (SDB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), 8(a) certified small business, service disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, woman-owned small business, and economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business)).
