Description

Items list New Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) procedures became effective September 13, 2015. The new procedures only permit a distributor to be added as an approved source if they own Design Control Rights to the item or are a qualified distributor for a manufacturer, who does not have a CAGE code. In efforts to comply with the new DOD procedures, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)-Land and Maritime is posting the subject sources sought, requesting vendors to identify the actual manufacturing sources of items listed on the attached Excel Spreadsheet. Vendors responding are asked to provide the name and CAGE of the actual manufacturer as well as provide the technical documentation/supporting evidence that the vendor is the OEM or design control activity for the item in question. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Attachment: Item Spreadsheet
