- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend the current contract (DTFAWA-10-D-00026) with Office Depot of Columbia, Maryland. This extension will allow the continued the purchase of office supplies for a period of three (3) months with two three (3) month options. The purpose of this extension is to allow for a continuation in services so the FAA can complete the current competition for a new contract for this requirement. The FAA is currently in the process of a competition for a new office supplies contract under solicitation number DTFACT-15-R-00003. Office Depot is the current provider under contract DTFAWA-10-D-00026. This contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment (SAVES) Program. This contract provides simple purchasing of core office supplies, non-core items, Ability One products and UNICOR products for the FAA ™s CONUS and OCONUS locations. This is a sole source requirement to Office Depot as they are the only current provider of office supplies under the FAA mandatory source SAVES contract. The follow-on contract for this requirement is currently in the pre-award stages and the proposals received for solicitation DTFACT-15-R-00003 are currently under evaluation. The extension to the Office Depot contract will service as a bridge contract consisting of one three (3) month base period and two (2) three (3) month option periods. The bridge will avoid any interruption in services while the FAA completes the current competition for a follow-on contract. Accordingly, a competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement. Any questions or comments about this announcement must be directed to Elizabeth Ford Ochs at Elizabeth.Ford@faa.gov, no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on November 13, 2015. All inquiries must be submitted in writing. Phone calls will not be entertained.
