Description

The Veteran's Administration Office of Research and Development, Program Contracting Office - East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Duke University Center for Applied Genomics in North Carolina. The requirement is to develop a family health history program based on the MeTree family health and analyzation system for the Durham North Carolina VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for project management, patient education, program customization, training, program reviews, and data analysis. The sole source is pursuant to FAR 6.302-5 (a) (i). Full and Open Competition Need Not Be Provided for When a Sole Source Award is Authorized or Required by Statute. Duke University is a nonprofit educational institution that currently maintains a medical affiliation agreement with the Durham VA Healthcare System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, Nov 9, 2015, (10:00AM, EST). Interest/capability statements may be sent by email to Michael Haydo at Michael.haydo@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
