Description
This is the scope for this request for information for relocation services The US Embassy London is issuing a Request For Information (RFI) for disposal, moving, storage and other move-related services to relocate the US Embassy London from its current Mayfair location, to the new Embassy building in Nine Elms. The relocation is anticipated to take place between December 2016 and February 2017. The Embassy intends to conduct a RFI conference in London towards the end of November 2015 and all prospective suppliers who are interested on bidding on this Contract are invited to attend to receive further information regarding the Embassy's requirements. The RFI will be seeking details regarding the necessary personnel, supervision, packing materials, moving supplies, equipment and vehicles to efficiently accomplish the Embassy's office move and an indication of the likely costs involved. Services required are anticipated to include planning, pick up and loading of office furniture and other property for disposal and additionally the transporting of some property to the New Embassy Location, delivering property to the designated room(s), and positioning at the new location. In addition, padding and packing/crating of certain items, disassembly of property, moving of bulky and heavy items will be required. There may also be a requirement for secure storage of items in the London area for several months during and following the time of the move. Please contact londonproc@state.gov with the full names of a maximum of 2 attendees before 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time), Wednesday 18th November if you would like to attend the RFI conference. Attendance at this meeting is not compulsory to submit an RFI, but is recommended. Please submit your RFI response through FedBizOpps no later than 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time), Friday 4th December, 2015. Please note this is an RFI only, the solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in London will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. This opportunity will allow for electronic responses.
