- Description
- MTI Radar RFI The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), AIR AND MARINE OPERATIONS (AMO), is seeking information on commercially available Moving Target Indicator (MTI) Radar suitable for detection and tracking of vehicles and dismounted individuals from manned aircraft over land environments. Air and Marine Operations (AMO) is a component of DHS/CBP. To better communicate who we are and what we do the organization recently changed its name from Office of Air and Marine (OAM) to Air and Marine Operations (AMO), effective October 1, 2015. AMO is responsible to interdict, investigate, and operate utilizing a unique combination of authorities, capabilities, and expertise in the air and maritime environments to meet our mission. This request for information (RFI) is an informational exercise intended to seek out supply sources for a projected radar requirement. Responses to this RFI must be submitted to the CO not later than 12:00 PM EST, Friday, December 4, 2015. This RFI seeks to obtain information and comments from industry that will provide DHS/CBP/AMO with insight into the availability and costs for systems, subsystems and technology that will aid in the procurement of a Moving Target Indicator (MTI) radar suitable for detection and tracking of vehicles and dismounted individuals from manned aircraft over land environments. The submitted information will be reviewed for an upcoming requirement for MTI Rader resources. Determination as to suitability will be made by DHS/CBP/ Air and Marine Operations technical personnel. Therefore, requests for feedback should not be made through the Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed service information. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be interpreted as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation for an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Submission of vendor information constitutes consent to publication of information provided. [Please read attach RFI statement]
