- Sources Sought Announcement for a combination of Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts for Okinawa Japan This announcement seeks information from industry which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this announcement. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME 1. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: NAVFAC FEAD Camp Butler is soliciting interest from firms for the following requirements: GATE BARRIER AND AUXILIARY GENERATORS MAINTENANCE MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS PACIFIC (MCI-PAC), CAMP SMEDLEY D. BUTLER, OKINAWA, JAPAN. The anticipated contract duration is one base year and four (4) 1-year option periods, for an overall possible five (5) year period of performance. 2. PROJECT INFORMATION: The purpose of this acquisition is to provide Repairs and Maintenance Gate Barrier and Auxiliary Generators for Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCI-PAC), Camp Smedley D. Butler Okinawa, Japan. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide the services outlined below and described in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) at Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan to include Camp Foster, MCAS Futenma, and Camp Schwab. 3. SOURCES SOUGHT: The purpose of this source sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among potential pool of responsible contractors. ***Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought announcement. 4. SOLICITATIONS: The Government anticipates issuance of a solicitation in November 2015. The official synopsis citing the solicitation number may be issued on ASIANeco (https://asia.neco.navy.mil/). Firms are invited to register electronically to receive a copy of the solicitation, if it is issued. 5. RESPONSES: The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not intended to be a Request for Proposal nor Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. It is to request statements regarding the companys ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Capabilities Statement. Submission of Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the NAVFAC FEAD Camp Butler in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. 6. SUBMISSIONS: The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company ™s ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Capabilities statement. Submission of Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities.
