Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to modify an existing to contract to maintain coverage for Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) services on the VA Region 3 Telecommunications Business Office (R3 TBO) Windstream infrastructure. TAC intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price modification to Windstream, 2 N. Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601, pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The period of performance is October 1, 2015 through October 31, 2015, with one, 30 day option period. The proposed modification is for the continuation of telecommunications voice and data services: POTS/Business lines, Trunks, PRI, DID, Centrex, DSL, DS1 and DS3 circuits, and Metro E data services and features of Caller ID, Call Forward, Call Waiting, Hunting/rollover, Voice mail, and Call Blocking, currently being provided at the VA facilities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia. Coverage and services shall be in place on October 1, 2015 with no interruptions to the circuits or services. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 57110. The anticipated award date is October 1, 2015. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on September 30, 2015.
