Description
SAM System Business Management Questionairre Statement of Work RFQP01061500032 Cover Letter The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation RFQP01061500032 for Fire Suppression System Inspection Services. The services will be provided at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Butner, North Carolina. The contract type is an firm fixed contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 561621. The award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base year and four 12 month option years. The following quantities listed are estimates for FCC Butner annual requirement; 61 Fire hydrants, 81 Wet systems, 5 pre action systems, 17 Dry systems. In addition, the following quantities listed are estimates of systems to be inspected for FCC Butner semi-annually requirement; 6 water mist systems (2 institutions/13 hoods), 14 ansul hood systems (3 institution/17 hoods) and 1 halon system. The contractor shall perform the following: inspect all wet fire sprinklers, risers, control valves, flow switches, tamper switches, gauges and related equipment. Inspect flowing of sprinkler systems and times recorded for flow switches with adjustments for time delays as needed, main drain test performed with pressures recorded, visual inspection all exposed sprinklers and piping, check gauges for proper readings, flow test of hydrants. All inspections, testing and maintenance performed in accordance with NFPA standards and state and manufactures requirements for water based fire protections systems. In addition, all testing equipment used for the inspection process shall be provided by the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the provision of all equipment, labor, licenses, permits, maintenance, materials, parts tools, etc., necessary to carry out the requirements of this contract. The solicitation will be available on September 16, 2015 and will be distributed solely through this website. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government are advised that this solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-4, which requires all contractors doing business with the Federal Government to obtain a DUNS number, register in the SAM System (formerly known as CCR), obtain a CAGE Code, identify proper NAICS Codes, properly identify Socio-economic Set-Aside status, SIC Codes, PSC Codes, FSC Codes, obtain an MPIN as well as complete the proper Representations & Certifications (formerly known as ORCA). The date for receipt of quotations is on September 28, 2015; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
