Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for RFQ that a sole source delivery order will be issued to Raman Technologies. The Government intends to negotiate a fixed-price delivery order for Thermo Scientific TruDefender FTS that is manufactured by Thermo Scientific. A Sole Source procurement is authorized in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 based on the fact that there is only one source that can produce a single unit that works as two devices. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 423490 - Other Professional Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a written proposal that details their specific capabilities relative to the items being procured. Written information must be submitted electronically to danielle.donaldson@usss.dhs.gov. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee that this requirement will become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must be submitted to the contract specialist identified herein no later than September 18, 2015. after which time, a delivery order shall be issued. Late submissions of interest will not be considered for this procurement, but may be considered for future procurements.
