- Boxelder Civilian Conservation Center Nemo, South Dakota The US Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps has a requirement for qualified contractors with the capacity to provide design-build services for the remediation of multiple electrical and lighting deficiencies in G-1 Hard Vocation, H-1 Lodge 1 (Men's Dorm), H-2 Lodge 2 (Men's Dorm), H-3 Lodge 3 (Men's Dorm), H-4 Lodge 4 (Women's Dorm), O-1 Admin Center, O-5 Administration, R-1 Gymnasium, R-4 Recreation Pavilion and ST Sewage Treatment Plant. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside project. Building H-4 - Lodge 4 (Women's Dorm). Replace the existing panel located in the study room with a new 225A MLO, 120/240V, 1-phase, 3 wire, 30-circuit panel.. In the first floor corridor leading to the dorm room located adjacent to the mechanical room, provide one wall-mounted energy-efficient flourescent light fixture with one T8-flourescent lamp and electronic ballast.. Replace the four CFL light fixtures in the shower room located in the second floor toilet/shower.. Repair the existing night lights located in the corridors (two on each floor), providing the CFL lamps, replacing the deterioted light fixtures and troubleshooting and replacing the damaged wiring.. Provide a design for a new wiring system and completely remove the old wiring system throughtout the building. All existing conduits will remain unless they are not properly sized for the new installaction. All conduits shall be cleaned before the installation of the new wires. Building 0-1 - Administration Center. Retrofit the T12-flourescent fixtures in the building with T8 lamps, matching electronic ballasts and high efficiency reflectors. Building 0-5 - Administration. Replace the existing canapy-mounted CFL light fixture located at the back building exit with a new wall-mounted LED light fixture. Building R-1 - Gymnasium. Replace the 16 HID fixtures in the gymnasium with energy-efficient, high bay, beam mounted, LED light fixtures, with high efficiency reflectors, wide distribution, wire guards. Buildng R-4 - Recreation Pavilion. Replace eight existing HID fixtures with eight new energy-efficient LED canapy-mounted light fixtures. Building ST- Sewage Treatment Plant. Replace the electromagnetic ballasts for the lighting fixtures in the main plant area with eight new energy-efficient, instant start electronic ballasts. The estimated price of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Interested contractors are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualification should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the required services, and shall include the following information. 1. Previous projects of similar scope and value: a. Current or previous projects completed by your design/build team that are similar in scope and value to the work required under this project to include: two or more projects located on operating high schools or college campuses, and have completed two or more projects with a $100,000 to $250,000 constructed value witin the last five (5) years. Provide previous project examples. Examples shall include the location of the project, the project owner, and a brief and concise description of the project scope. b. Project Location: 1. Contractor completed two or more projects in the State of South Dakota in the last five (5) years indicating familiarity with local conditions and subcontracting community. Provide project locations of previous project examples. c. Cost Control, project schedule, safety, and quality control. 1. Project examples shall include the contract award, notice to proceed, the original contract completion date, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 2. Using your previous project examples, indicate the contract award amount the final contract value, and a precentage of change order value relative to the total construction value for each project. d. Include your EMR Safety Ratings for 2012, 2013, and 2014. Your statement of qulificaitons will be evaluated based on the following crieteria, which is listed in order of importance. 1. Previous projects of similar scope and value. 2. Location 3. Cost Control, project schedule, safety, and quality control. This Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals or award of contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Entries responding to the Sources Sought should submit the minimum information necessary to the Government to make a determination taht the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonatrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. Please prvide your DUNS number with your submission. Responses are due September 29, 2015 by 2:00 PM, EST, and must be transmitted electronically via e-mail to thorpe.olivia@dol.gov (Olivia J. Thorpe, Contract Specialist. Acknowlegement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
