Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia, intends to solicit on a sole source basis with Comedy is the Cure, Inc. of Las Vegas to provide Navy Personnel Command with services in support of VCNO initiatives for reducing substance abuse/misuse and creating awareness via creative methods. The vendor will provide a speaker to conduct education events at NADAP Summits and other venues. The speaker will use comedic style of presenting substance abuse awareness information to Navy leadership and their sailors at various CONUS Navy commands. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm, Fixed Price type order in accordance with the provisions stated in FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Comedy is the Cure, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 611710. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM EDT on 17 September 2015. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
