Description

The contracting office, Naval Hospital Bremerton, Bremerton, WA, intends to award a sole source, fixed-price contract to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) for controls, reagents and instrumentation parts required for patient testing that are unique to the Siemens Sysmex CA560 Analyzer. This award will be made to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, 115 Norwood Park South, Norwood MA 02062. The sole source justification is based on Siemens being the manufacturer and only vendor that can provide the consumables compatible with the existing Government owned analyzer. If a vendor challenges the basis of this requirement, please email product capability statement to Cindy Carlson at Cynthia.a.carlson8.civ@mail.mil. Email challenges are preferred. Closing date of this notice is September 26th, 2015. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, with a size standard of 500. Period of performance will be one year, 10/1/15-9/30/16 with four option years. This procedure will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
