Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), authorized or required by statue. This is one (1) time procurement. The VISN 10 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source procurement with Honeywell Building Solutions to purchase and install: Honeywell EBI R310 Life Safety UL software (R2003 server) and UL hardware with the new Honeywell EBI Life Safety version R430 UL software (R2008 Server) and UL hardware in the Fire Alarm Room. The project will also replace the facility's existing EBI R310 Life Safety UL workstations operating on Windows XP with the new EBI R430 Life Safety UL versions operating on Windows 7, as well as add one new EBI R430 Life Safety UL workstation operating on Windows 7. Manufacture: Honeywell Building Solutions,1985 Douglas Drive, Golden Valley, MN 55422 The procurement will be for the VAMC Cincinnati, Ohio. The estimated amount is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government believes that Honeywell Building Solutions is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source procurement for the required equipment. To the best of our knowledge, Honeywell Building Solutions is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238210 and the size standard is 15 million. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement for these required items, which shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statement, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to ronald.heidemann@va.gov no later than 11:00 AM EDT on September 15, 2015. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will proceed with sole source procurement with Honeywell Building Solutions.
