This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of supplying the products. Description: VA New Jersey Healthcare System at East Orange Campus is seeking contractors that are capable of supplying the following: BRAND NAME or EQUAL XSENSOR ForeSite SS Tablet Seat & Back LX Wired System to include: 1) ForeSite SS Tablet Systems All ForeSite SS Tablet Systems come with the following: 1 ForeSite SS Software 1 ForeSite SS Tablet with ForeSite SS Tablet software 2 Sensor Pack with USB Adapter 1 ForeSite SS Tablet Power Supply 1 Dual USB Hub 1 Carry Case 2 LX100:36.36.02 (18 x 18) This system is a CSA/CE Class 1 ISO 60601-1 medically approved product. The ForeSite SS Tablet comes with preinstalled ForeSite SS software and is intended as a secure, pressure mapping specific device. This system is intended for clinicians in a hospital setting who require secure devices with user password protection, encrypted patient files. A PX100 or LX100 sensor is connected to the sensor pack and transmits data to the ForeSite SS Tablet via a USB connection. High resolution sensors are critical to seeing surfaces pressures and making informed recommendations. 2) The system must come with a medically certified (ISO 60601-1) tablet device that is drop proof, water proof and dust proof. The sensor is connected to a sensor pack and transmits data to the tablet via a USB connection. Device must provide heightened security with user password protection and encrypted patient files. Software must be pre-installed on tablet and interface is touchscreen. Tablet has a 9.7 LED screen panel with 1024 x 768 resolution and a 30 GB hard drive at a minimum. 3) The sensor pads (seat and back) 18 x 18 sensing area must be very thin, flexible, durable, and light so to conform to the chairs seat and back to provide an accurate view of the pressure distribution. They must be high-resolution with a 12.7mm pitch (resolution) and 1,296 capacitive sensing points pressure range 0.1-3.87psi at a minimum. Sensors must provide superior image quality while continuously measuring the body surface pressures. The sensors shall be cleanable TIR-30 compliant. Maintains calibration for 5+ years and is plus or minus 3% full scale accuracy. 4) Software program must provide the ability to assess, capture and transfer data and pressure images. Software shows the various pressures applied to the sensor pad, highlighting higher or lower values in the pressure distribution. The software must have the ability to generate reports and capture and manage still frame images and recordings. 5) Two sets of Operators and Service manuals will be provided at No Charge. 6) All equipment shall be warranted for a period of one year to commence from date of installation. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the web at www.sam.gov. It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Representations and Certifications on www.sam.gov. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. Requests for information and resultant responses shall be submitted directly to the contracting officer, Paul Speedling at Paul.Speedling@va.gov or by Fax: at (914) 788-4878. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All submissions should be received no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on September, 10, 2015.
