Description

This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order with only one source, Medtronic. The procurement is for 20 each-Dual Chamber Pacemakers. These external dual chamber pacemaker are required to include the following seven selectable modes of pacing therapy : DD, DDD, DOO, AAI, AOO, VVI, VOO. They also need to have outputs of the following units of measure and range: "Pacing Rate - oRange: 30-200 ppm basic (80-800 ppm rapid) "A Output - oRange: 0.1 -20 mA at 1.0 ms pulse width, and 0.4-10 mV sensitivity. "V Output - oRange: 0.1-25 mA at 1.5 ms pulse width, and 0.8-20 mV sensitivity "Fixed pulse width "Fixed atrial refractory period "Adjustable blanking period This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the Sole Source acquisition. The Government will not pay for information submitted any quotation/response should be emailed to Andrea Harter at andrea.harter@va.gov by 4:00 P.M. CST. September 14th, 2015.
