- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of the existing boilers at the Flint Genesee Job Corps located in Flint, Michigan. The work includes, but is not limited to; the removal and replacement of the existing 2070 MBH capacity boilers located in Buildings A, B, D, E, F, G & H. This work will also require the installation of new boiler controls, relief valves, reconnection of the existing boiler piping and the insulation of approximately 100 feet of hot water piping located in Building C. The estimated price range for construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Interested Contractors are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the required services. Your statement of qualifications should also include the following information: 1. Projects performed that are similar scope and value to the work required under this project. Provide two or more projects completed a minimum of two multi building boiler system replacement projects with a constructed value of $500K to $1M within the last five years. Provide previous project examples that shall include the location of the project, the location of the project and a brief and concise description. 2. Provide two or more boiler replacement projects performed by your firm within the last five years indicating familiarity with local conditions and subcontracting community. The region of country shall be included for each project listed. 3. Using the previous project examples include the Contract Award/NTP date, the original contract completion date, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 4. Utilizing your previous project examples indicate the contract award amount, the final contract value, and a percentage of change order value relative to the total construction value for each project. 5. Provide your EMR Safety Ratings for 2014, 2013, and 2012. Your statement of qualifications will be evaluated based on the following criteria, which is listed in order of importance. 1. Project of similar scope and value 2. Project Location 3. Cost Control, project schedule, safety and quality of work. Entities responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. RESPONSES ARE DUE ON September 30, 2015 BY 2:00 PM EDT, AND MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA E-MAIL TO garnett.eileen@dol.gov (Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist). Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of on the results of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
