- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number, F6R3E15251ELEV is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84, 3 Sept 2015. This acquisition is advertised as full and open competition. North American Industry Classification Standards (NAICS) code is 238290. Description of Requirement: Remove failed elevator controls and replace with modern controls system that meets current code requirements, which includes a new hydraulic microprocessor-based control system with built-in diagnostics and corresponding emergency system replacement. Current Situation: Current elevator (installed in 1992) has failed and controls are so outdated that the manufacturer no longer supports field repairs to the control units. Fire panel and entire building fire system is fully upgraded to code as of 1 September 2015. Quote Information: Site visit: 10 September at 1000 in bldg. 3127 lobby. In the event the current prevailing Wage Determination is changed by the Department of Labor after the closing date of this solicitation, the updated Wage Determination will be incorporated by amendment and issued to all Offerors that have not been eliminated from the competition.
