- Description of Requirement THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY and a SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quotes. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Western Business Service Center (WBSC) is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, plant, equipment and supplies necessary to provide the ZEISS PALM MicroBeam Technology and Components, OR EQUAL, in accordance with the attached scope of work. The Western Business Service Center (WBSC) is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the supervision, labor, materials, plant, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide the aforementioned services for USDA, Agricultural Research Service. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources available from which to receive competitive quotes. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 334516. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to provide the services as detailed are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 3:00 PM (CT) September 3, 2015. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to provide this service, please provide the following information: (1) a complete and current record of your System for Award Management SAM record and/or applicable GSA Contract Number including DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A list of previous customers (Federal Preferred) which were provided products similar in nature (3) A complete description of all assets/experience/personnel which will contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement as described in the Statement of work. Firms that believe they can provide this equipment/system are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information to the Contracting Officer. Responses must be supported by clear and convincing evidence of ability to clearly provide technology required for services and products outlined.
