Description
In accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(ii), the US Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a purchase request to Von Corporation of Birmingham, AL for the procurement of a High Voltage Glove and Sleeve Test machine with the following salient characteristics: a. Input Power: 90 - 130 Volts, 1 phase, 50/60 hz, 16A max draw b. Glove Test Voltage: Variable based on glove classification to meet the top voltage of 70,000 v DC, built in power supply (Automatically adjusted). Up to Class IV gloves and sleeves. c. Enclosure: Free Standing d. Enclosure dimensions not to exceed: 1. 22.5" deep 2. 79.5" high 3. 66.5" wide e. Safety Door: Hinged, interlocked with fail-safe discharge device f. Number of gloves and or sleeves to be tested per cycled test: 6. g. Standards: Must meet ASTM D1051 and F496 electrical standards for electrical glove testing standards. h. Ventilation: 100 cfm of air flow toward gloves and or sleeves to prevent water drops from going up the glove. Exhaust fan in rear of the cabinet to remove ozone from the test area. Any potential vendors capable of providing a High Voltage Glove and Sleeve Test Machine meeting the salient characteristics listed above are required to contact the Contract Specialist listed below no later than 11 September 2015 at 1400 hrs to have their offer considered.
