Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE An Extended Warranty with Olympus America Inc. for a FLUVIEW FV1000 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source an Extended Warranty with Olympus America Inc. for a FLUVIEW FV1000 located at C.W. Bill Young VA Hospital under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Classification Code: 66 NAICS: 811219 Period of Performance: Date of Award through 12 months with four, one-year options. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quote. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. However, any responses received by 3 September 2015, 2:00 PM Eastern will be considered by the Government. If the VA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the afore mentioned date, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with Olympus Inc. as the only source, and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or changes by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
