Description
RFQ NMFS AKR-15-0827A for the successful contractor to provide professional services in Determining Factors Influencing Juvenile Salmon Presence, Persistence and Abundance during Winter in Off-channel Habitats of Large Glacial Rivers Under Variable Flow and Ice Conditions per the attached statement of work (SOW) in the request for quotes. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for the successful contractor to provide professional services in Determining Factors Influencing Juvenile Salmon Presence, Persistence and Abundance during Winter in Off-channel Habitats of Large Glacial Rivers Under Variable Flow and Ice Conditions per the attached statement of work (SOW) in the request for quotes (RFQ) NMFS AKR-15-0827A prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541620 and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The objective of this action is to provide professional services to test the hypothesis that effective overwintering is limited by variable flow and ice conditions through the winter (October - March), and explain why sites with stable physical habitat conditions (Wiggle Slough Beaver Pond, Whiskers side slough, Chulitna Slough) provide good overwintering habitat for juvenile coho and Chinook salmon. The results of this investigation will be used to develop protection, mitigation and enhancement measures for hydropower licenses in accordance with the SOW, terms and conditions contained in the attached RFQ NMFS AKR-15-0827A. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in SAM. For additional information and to register in SAM please access the following web site: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM.
