This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The Department of Veterans Affairs, located within South Dakota intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to a qualified firm with the capability and capacity to provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools and equipment necessary for inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of the facility fire alarm necessary to keep the Minneapolis VAHCS fire alarm system in compliance with the most current edition of NFPA 72: National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code and the Uniform Facilities Criteria, 3-601-02. in accordance with the requirements set forth within the Statement of Work (SOW). The NAICS code assigned to this procurement is 561621 "Security Systems Services" with a size standard of $20.5 Million. It is anticipated that the solicitation number will be VA263-15-R-0870. The solicitation is set-aside 100% for Small Business. Offerors will be evaluated on technical ability, past performance, and price. Procurement is being made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 Commercial Item and 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options. Service will begin October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about August 28, 2015 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once the solicitation has been posted, questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and may be sent via email to: Amanda.hildreth@va.gov. Proposals must be submitted in writing to the issuing office, be in accordance with the preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation, and be timely.
