Description

VA Boston Research Department requires the purchase of a Zeno 4'x20' 3 Layer Walkway to both measure gait and its variability along with using this equipment to analyze gait. The Zeno 3-Layer Walkway is necessary to match the specifications and analytical protocol requirements for the of a research study already in place to measure gait speed by averaging the participant's gait speed through 4 passes (walks) along the Zeno Walkway. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334516 (size standard of 500). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement in accordance with VAAR Clause 852.211-73 on eBuy or Fed Biz Ops. Estimated Performance Period: 90 Days ARO Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, August 28, 2015, 4:00 PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov and should include company name, address, point of contact, business size, and product information. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is to assist the Government in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
