Description
RFQ for Applied Biosystem This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being solicited as a small business set-aside and the Government contemplates a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order will result from this solicitation in accordance with FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-82 dated June 8, 2015. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516. Its associated Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Description of supplies or Services The QS3D DPCR Proflex system is utilized by both research entities and surveillance communities for the detection and enumeration of pathogens. This technology as part of a robotic work flow will allow rapid identification of pathogens. The QS3D DPCR system will allow for the rapid identification of pathogenic bacteria allowing for high throughput of regulatory samples and also allow for rapid screening of samples during an outbreak and provide for rapid identification contamination of the food supply is suspected.
