Description

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Competition for Parking Lease Location The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking 99 parking spaces located in within a quarter (.25) mile radius of the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia, SC. The VA is conducting a competition for parking space for a location that is most advantageous for the Government. The cost for build-out, lease options, and other factors will be considered when determining whether the space identified by offerors is appropriate. The lease term shall be ten (10) years, five (5) years firm. Occupancy is required on or before October 1, 2016. The delineated area is: North to Lowell Rd; South to Christie Rd; East to Garden Springs Rd; West to Gills Creek PKWY. Offers from properties inside the 100 year flood plan will be considered and evaluated. Offers from properties outside the 100 year flood plan must provide evidence that the property is located outside the 100 year flood plan. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. The Government is limited by Federal Law (40USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value of space. Respondents are advised that the VA assumes no responsibility to award a lease based upon responses to this advertisement. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit the following in their packages: physical location of the property, property description (pictures if available), point of contact, mailing address, phone number and email address.
