Antenna 732 Feedback from the Industry Day participants on the following areas is requested: • Feedback on demilitarization process suggested (much of the demolished material must be demilitarized on site, inspected by DLA/DRMO, and then loaded for transportation) This also requires a contractor that has someone with a demil certificate and is demil trained. • Information on suggested stockpiling and storage of materials prior to loading and hauling (how much space needed, how quickly will materials ship out, etc.) • Feedback on transportation of materials, both salvage and waste (rail spurs are nearby but may not be usable by the time this project is awarded). • Local housing availability is limited, so how large of a crew is anticipated and will a man-camp on-site be needed. • Contractor addressing environmental clean-up issues and timing with respect to the demolition. • Timeframe for the overall effort---single summer season, multiple summer seasons, year-round work, etc. • Cost (this may be the most difficult to obtain at this point, but we are really just looking for price ranges---the demo minus recyclables will cost the Government: a) more than $5M, b) less than $5M, c) no cost, d) recyclable value exceeds demo cost and Gov't shares in "profits." Contracting Office Address: USACE District, Alaska, Attn: CECT-POA-CT P.O. Box 6898, JBER, AK 99506-0898 Point of Contact(s): Ron Jackson, 907 753-5596.
