- Clauses and Provisions This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Station Tawas Galley Cabinets PART 1 OVERVIEW 1.1 Build stainless steel custom cabinets for USCG Station Tawas Commercial Kitchen (Galley) PART 2 LOCATION OF WORK 2.1 USCG Station Tawas, 600 Lighthouse Road, East Tawas, Michigan 48730-9314. PART 3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: 3.1 The general project scope is to design, manufacture and deliver new stainless steel commercial kitchen grade cabinets for the galley at the Coast Guard Tawas. Contractor to provide a shop drawing layout for the replacement of existing kitchen cabinets & counter tops with stainless steel fixtures. Please reference attached drawing for base dimensions and contact Station POC to identify configuration of cabinets and drawers specific to each unit, a site visit is recommended to ensure accuracy in the final fit and finish. The contractor shall provide instructions and information for the installation of the new cabinets upon delivery to the project site. Incidental work items not listed and necessary for completing the project shall be included.. PART 4 PREPARATION AND REGULATIONS 4.1 Contractor is responsible for and permits required by local, state or federal authorities. 4.2 The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. 4.3 All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from MK1 Dustin Sawmiller, DCC Michael Nettles or the Officer of the Day. 4.4 The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. 4.5 There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas. PART 5 SITE VISIT AND SCHEDULING: 5.1 Site visits to the USCG Sta Tawas facility for bidding or work can be arranged by contacting MK1 Dustin Sawmiller or DCC Michael Nettles. 5.2 Contractor is to arrange a start work date with USCG Sta Tawas within two days of the project being awarded. PART 6 WORK HOURS: 6.1 The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours, 0700-1600 Mon-Fri except during federal holidays. 6.2 Any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with MK1 Dustin Sawmiller and agreed upon by all parties concerned. PART 7 LABORER WAGES: 7.1 Clause 52.222-6 Davis Bacon Act is incorporated, DOL Wage Rates can be found at www.dol.gov. This contract will require contractors to pay their laborers and mechanics employed under this contract no less than the locally prevailing wage and fringe benefits for the corresponding work on similar projects in the area. PART 8 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK / QUALITY ASSURANCE 8.1 The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as adjacent affected areas. 8.2 Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through MK1 Dustin Sawmiller and or DCC Nettles a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up. Completed work shall meet the written scope of work. PART 9 DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIAL 9.1 Disposal of HAZ MAT shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations.
