Description
The following questions were asked by an interested offeror and answered by the Government: Question 1. If awarded a contract, is any portion of the fee provided up front to cover costs such as travel, acquisition of data, etc.? (I would want to subscribe to Costar Property© or Lease data for Washington if the job was awarded....Costar tracks leases for office properties in most markets) Answer 1. The government does not pay up front costs. The Contractor bills in the rears. We have never provided any payments upfront. Question 2. Will the appraiser be able to maintain contact/communication with the review appraiser throughout the process if questions arise? Answer 2. The government is always available and appreciate any questions - they make the whole process go more smoothly. Question 3. Are you able to disclose what ‘typical' fees have been for Fair Annual Rent appraisals on federal buildings? Answer 3. We do not disclose this type of information. You can review FPDS to view the total of the last contract, but it is not "itemized". www.fpds.gov and type GS10P14LTP0026 through GS10P14LTP0029 for prior year contract award information. Question 4. Do all associate appraisers working with me also need to have the MAI designation or just the principal signing appraiser (myself)? Answer 4. Our only requirement is that the principal appraiser needs to be licensed in the state where the appraisal is conducted (Certified General) and needs to inspect the property and the comps. Question 5. Will I need to personally measure all the buildings or will the breakdown of gross, rentable, usable (etc.) areas be provided? Answer 5. We will provide measurements and floor plans. Question 6. Will building sketches, floor plans, diagrams, etc. be provided as well? Answer 6. We will provide measurements and floor plans. Question 7. Are all Fair Annual Rent appraisals bid out through FedBizOpps and how can I stay apprised of bidding opportunities in states where I am licensed (NV, AZ, CA, and WA)? Answer 7.
