- The Army Contracting Command in Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking potential sources under the proposed NAICS Code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) who have the capability to provide the following requirements: 3Flex Multiport Surface Characterization Analyzer 3 Ports System Requirements: Below are the instrument requirements that we will require: Can perform cryogenic adsorption isotherm measurements on three ports simultaneously Can perform mesoporous and microporous isotherm measurements on all three ports simultaneously Can perform adsorption isotherms on numerous permanent gasses such as: N2, O2, Ar, Kr, CO2, CO, and H2 (can also measure adsorption isotherms on non-corrosive vapors) Pneumatically actuated, hard seal valves for ultra-clean, leak-free operation Stainless steel gas inlets, VCR fittings, and analysis manifold Vacuum system consisting of turbo molecular drag pump in series with four state diaphragm pump Cryogen level on sample tube controlled by passive isothermal jacket Software included for data analysis that can perform and produce reports with the following calculations: BET surface analysis, pore size distribution including DFT, alpha-s plots, t-plots, DR analysis. Advanced instrument diagnostics dashboard for continuous monitoring of critical system component performance and key maintenance scheduling Minimum measurable surface area: 0.01 m2/g, 0.0005 m2/g and up (krypton) Ultimate vacuum: 3.75 x 10-10 mm Hg Manifold outgas rate: less than 0.1 m/min Transducer accuracy o1000 mm Hg: 0.12% of reading o10 mm Hg: 0.12% of reading (display resolution 0.0001 mm Hg) o0.1 mm Hg: 0.15% of reading (display resolution 0.00001 mm Hg) Sample Tub Kit o12 mm tubes oIncludes ferrules, o-rings, isothermal jackets, filler rods, and stoppers This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS code 334516. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a RFP may be issued. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any corporation's ability to submit an offer if and when a solicitation is released.
