- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AMENDMENT # 1 Questions and Answers Reference SOW: C. Contractor Personnel Qualifications: All contractor service technicians proposed for this contract shall be knowledgeable and properly trained in the operation, inspection and maintenance of electric equipment, lightning protection systems and components and possess an Maryland Electrician's License. Each service technician shall possess a certification by the NFPA or equivalent to inspect and work on these systems. In addition, each service technician shall possess a level II certification using ASNT recommended practice, SNT-TC-1A for performing thermal infrared scans. Question 1: Does every technician onsite need to be a Maryland Electricians License cardholder? Answer: Any person/company providing electrical services must obtain a local permit to perform each specific job. The work performed is then inspected by a local electrical inspector to determin if the work was completed correctly IAW applicable electrical code (i.e. NFPA/NEC). Other technicians may perform electrical work without individual state licenses as long as at least one (1) person is a licensed Master Electrician who is insured to contract. Question 2: All of our technicians are NICET certified. Would this be acceptable certifications to work on and inspect these systems? Answer: NICET certifications would be acceptable to work on and inspect these systems. The proposal due date has been extended until August 25, 2015 @ 1:00pm (eastern) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ END OF AMENDMENT #1.
