Description
Bamberg Job Corps Center 200 S. Carlisle Bamberg, S.C. 29003 Jenkins Dormitory building 017 Project: this is a sub-contracting opportunity with Alutiiq Education and Training Interior wall/shower repair in dormitory student sleeping rooms 121 and 123. Scope of Work: Remove all drywall from shower and bath areas as needed and replace with new mold and mildew resistant drywall. Existing shower enclosures will be replaced with molded shower enclosure extending to ceiling and sidewalls to extend at least 4" beyond shower curtain sealed to provide a waterproof joint. Repair or replace damaged drywall in sink and living areas, finish, prime and paint bathroom and living areas as needed using low VOC Semi-gloss paint (color to be determined by center). Install new 4"vinyl cove base in shower and sink area. Sleeping and closet areas to have damaged drywall removed and replaced/repaired. Finish drywall and paint walls using low VOC primers and finis coats. Color to be provided by center. Installation of new 4" cove base in sleeping rooms and closets. General Conditions: Contractor must be licensed and insured to provide this type of service. Prevailing wage laws will be in effect. Federal Acquisition Regulations applicable to project will be in place. All work to be code compliant and installed in a safe and professional manner. Warranty and or guarantee of work to be submitted with bid proposal. Bid proposal to include a break-out of material, labor and mark-up. No work may be started without a written Purchase Order issued by the Purchasing Department. No Change Orders will be approved without prior approval from the Purchasing Department. All work to be coordinated through the Facilities Department. Contractors working at the Bamberg Job Corps Center must sign in and out each day at front desk. There should be no un-necessary interaction between contractor and students. Contractors working at Bamberg Job Corps Center must record daily services completed and man hours utilized while on the job. Vehicles entering and exiting the Job Corps Center are subject to search. Work may be scheduled between the hours of 8:00am - 3:00pm Monday-Friday. It is the responsibility of the contractor to insure tools and material are secured during work and at the end of each day. The Bamberg Job Corps Center and Alutiiq Education and Training will assume no responsibility for stored materials. Contractor is responsible to insure safe working conditions for project for students, staff and contractors employees. The Bamberg Job Corps Center may cancel project based on funding withdrawal. Note: The Bamberg Job Corps Center is a smoke-free facility.
