Description

Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Representation by Corporations Regarding an Unpaid Delinquent Tax Liability or a Felony Conviction Under Any Federal Law (Class Deviation) (March 2015) THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-83, effective July 2, 2015. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being procured using full-and-open competition. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized. Background Information The Security Technologies Group (STG) of the Materials Measurement Laboratory at NIST is involved in research to understand the long term aging properties of fibers and yarns when exposed to conditions of elevated temperature and humidity. The STG requires three benchtop humidity chambers to provide the capacity for humid environment that the STG requires in its research. The chamber size requirements provided herein are set to be the minimum dimensions required to accommodate STG's largest anticipated sample.
