Description
Statement of Work Air Handler Unit Chilled Water Coil This scope of work is for the replacement of Chilled water coil for AC-61A in the 6th floor interstitial area of Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. This scope will consist of removal and replacement chilled water coil and the associated piping and panels to accomplish the task and installation of a chilled water coil that meets or exceeds the original cooling coil specifications. Contractor is responsible for the insulation of all piping and panel and the sealing and leak testing of the coil and reinstalled panels. Additionally coil will be properly located to drain into the drain pan and the drain pipe will be re-piped if necessary to ensure proper drainage to the floor drain while unit is operating. All AHU metal panels, hangers, conduit and piping associated with disassembly and repair will be securely attached, resealed and insulated. All debris, tools, equipment and additional material will be removed and/or disposed of by the installation company or their sub- contractor. Installation Company will service and supply parts necessary to make repairs to AHU AC-6-1A. Installation company will provide temporary cooling unit or units to sustain cooling discharge to the areas that are supplied by AHU AC-6-1A at or below 60 degrees with adequate CFM to maintain 72 degree space temperature until the completion of the project. Total Labor and Material: After work is complete, equipment is to be placed into service in operating condition. Hours of work: Work will be accomplished Monday - Friday during normal duty hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any work that must be completed outside of normal hours will be coordinated between vendor and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Work is to be performed at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78229. Information Systems Officer, Information Protection: The contractor will not have access to VA Desktop computers nor will they have access to online resources belonging to the government while conducting services. Privacy Officer: The contractor will not have access to Patient Health Information (PHI) nor will they have the capability of accessing patient information during the services provided to the VA. Safety Requirements: The Contracting Officer shall notify the Contractor of any safety issues and the action necessary to correct these issues. Such notice, when served to the Contractor or his representative at the work site shall be deemed sufficient for the corrective actions to be taken. If the Contractor fails or refuses to comply promptly, the Contracting Officer may issue an order stopping all or part of the work, and hold the Contractor in default. Place of Performance: Audie L Murphy VA Hospital, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229 1.Performance Period: All coordination will be made with the Engineering Office before work begins. Contractor shall check in daily in the Maintenance and Operations Office, L001. Work performed on night or weekends.
