- The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to participate as a sponsor of the Eureka Park Marketplace at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Exposition on a sole source basis. The exposition will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 6-9, 2016. The International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES) is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. Each year, the exposition attracts national and international participants. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years; it's the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. The International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES) showcases more than 3,500 exhibitors, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more; a conference program with 250 sessions; and more than 150,000 attendees from more than 140 countries. Consumer Electronics Association is uniquely positioned because of its stature and reaches within the electronics community to conduct this workshop. As a sponsor, NSF can reach out to a large number of participants at a fraction of the cost of holding its own event. Under the order, the funding will cover the costs of exhibit booths workshops, electricity and internet usage, and signage and supplies. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
