Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe district is soliciting interest for a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for the Design-Build Project for the of the Shape International School, Bon, Belgium. The new Shape International Schools (SIS) facility will be composed of three (3) academic classroom buildings with a total gross enclosed area of approximately 9,500 square meters. The design is compatible with the architecture of the existing buildings and uses the same design vocabulary; vertically modulated brick piers and green roofs for the academic portion and a brick base, corrugated metal panel walls and standing seam metal roofs for the special use spaces. The academic buildings are comprised of three (3) - two (2) story sections organized on the east and west sides of the campus commons and a large outdoor gathering space that serves as a recreation court. The cast-in-place concrete structure includes exterior concrete walls as backup for brick wall systems. Interior walls are plaster finished concrete block. Roofs are both flat and pitched with a green roof system. All of the buildings will meet or exceed all relevant Belgian codes. The UK/Canada School will meet UK fire regulations in addition to the Belgian regulations. The projected NTP will be issued in November 2015 with a period of performance of 26-months and construction schedule must be integrated with the academic calendar of the SIS. The Government intends to evaluate and select, for contract award, one (1) qualified Offeror, whose proposal is determined to be the best value to the Government, with consideration given to both the technical evaluation factors and price. The estimated magnitude of this contract action is between $10,000,000 and $50,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220 Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award and may call 1-866-606-8220 or visit the website www.sam.gov for more information. The solicitation will be issued free of charge and be available electronically. Paper copies of this solicitation, plans, and specifications will not be provided. It is the offeror's sole responsibility to ensure they have obtained all solicitation documents and any subsequent amendments, if any.
