- This solicitation will contain NSN: 4710-01-324-1353 for a TUBE ASSEMBLY, METAL used on the 56F/B-1B BOMBER. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for award of a firm-fixed price contract. The approved sources are MANEY AIRCRAFT, INC. DBA SPRAGUE, CAGE 10000 P/N L4801701-321 and BOEING COMPANY, THE DBA BOEING, CAGE 43999 P/N L4801701-321. The quantity is as follows: 138 each. FOB: Origin; Inspection/Acceptance: Origin Delivery: 372 DARO and Government First Article (FAT) requirement. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is on or about August 19, 2015. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the approved sources of supply under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DLA-Aviation does not currently have an approved technical data package for this item, please do not submit requests. Any manufacturer, other than, the two listed approved sources that wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete source approval package (SAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) < https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ > on the issue date cited in the RFP.
