- RFP No. SAQMMA15R0444 The United States of Department of State (DOS), Office of Logistics Management, Acquisition Management, is seeking market research for the Department's Bureau of Public Affairs, Office of the Historian (PA/HO) for qualified IT small businesses that can support of its current operation of eXist services. The candidates must have deep experience and expertise in eXist and related technologies and can provide Enterprise Service Level support for eXist. They must deliver stable, quality-assured versions of eXist (known as 'Long Term Support' versions); respond timely and effectively to support requests from PA/HO staff regarding stability and performance of eXist; provide advice to PA/HO in maintaining a stable hosting architecture and secure server environment for PA/HO's eXist applications; develops software and solutions to improve PA/HO's website or content management system and, as needed, enhancing core functions of eXist. Qualified candidates must have expertise in designing server architectures for successfully hosting eXist servers. Must be able to diagnose and fix problems in eXist source code; add significant feature to the eXist core and provide 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year emergency service; have a demonstrable history of contributing to eXist projects for assisting other users of eXist in government and/or publishing industries of engineering high quality, stables, and secure solutions for customers, and in of timeliness and attention to detail of communications and deliveries that are the utmost importance. The NACIS code for this requirement is 541519. This is for qualified small businesses that have the experience and expertise in providing the IT support for the above mentioned requirement. This requirement is set-aside for small businesses only. Therefore, all small business interested parties should submit their proposals no later than August 31, 2015, Standard Eastern Time by 11:00 a.m. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contract of Registration (www.ccr.gov). All questions or concerns in regards to this requirement must be submitted in writing via email to fordtr@state.gov not later than August 14, 2015, Standard Eastern Time by 10:00 a.m. No questions or inquiries will be accepted by telephone or fax.
