Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) intends to procure engineering services in support of the Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) Video Processor Module (VPM). The intended source for the VPM is Rockwell Collins, Inc. (RCI), 400 Collins Roads, NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498. The intended Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award will result in a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)/Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The proposed source for the VPM is Rockwell Collins, Inc. (RCI), 400 Collins Roads, NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498. The associated NAICS code is 334511 and small business standard is 750 employees. The intended contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. All interested, capable, and responsible sources that would like to respond to this sources sought are encouraged to provide a statement of interest along with supporting substantiation input to Ms. Stacey Kirkland, Contract Specialist via email at stacey.n.kirkland.civ@mail.mil no later than 4:00 pm EST on 3 August 15. Questions may be forwarded by email to this email address. Once the sources sought requirement has closed the Government will contact individual responders for any further information required.
