- Description
- Questions and answers: 1. Page 1: a. You have requested for line item 1 and 3. Do you want to select one option over the other or need pricing for both options? Response: The Government requires pricing for both. We anticipate ordering 20 vials at time of award. Line item 3 allows the Government to exercise options to purchase additional quantities of these items in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-7. b. Line item 2 and 4: the media amounts for the ampules of cells requested for seem to be are much lesser than what's needed-so want to confirm on the quantities. Response: The quantity of the medium is correct. The Government plans to make our own medium after this first order. 2. Page 2: Minimum Technical Requirement a. Two million cells vial: Our catalog item offers guaranteed viable 500,000 cells+/vial; which are of various donors with different demographic backgrounds. We do understand that you are concerned with over stress on progenitor cells during expansion; in those instances, is 4 vials of 500,000 cells an option for you? All you will need to do is to thaw 4 cryo vials. Response: That is an acceptable solution. The contractor's price quote shall reflect 4 times the quantity stated in the schedule for line items 1 and 3 to satisfy the solicitation's requirement for at least 1 million cells at the recovery. b. B-ALI Differentiated Media: We sell 500 ml/bottle-is that OK? Response: B-ALI did not work when we tried B-ALI medium before; the cells were dead after the 2nd week. A 500 ml/bottle is acceptable which would require two bottles to equal 1 liter as required per the solicitation schedule. c. Shipment: Cells will be shipped 5 ampules at a time-is the shipment going to be weekly or monthly or at regular intervals? When will the shipment approximately start? Response: The shipment will depend on the Government's need. There is no regular schedule or intervals but will be per the Government's request. Five (5) vials will be requested as soon as the contract becomes effective.
