- STL 15-0006 Work Description REPAIR/REPLACE HVAC, BLDG 37, ST. LOUIS SITE Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, to Repair/Replace HVAC, Building 37. Work related to that replacement includes modification to the existing mechanical room and the removal and replacement of the existing restroom ceiling with a new gypsum ceiling and reinstall existing light fixtures. The total affected area is approximately 6,450 square feet. The work includes, but is not limited to new partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, lighting, electric power, and heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC). Also included in the project is the removal of existing cement asbestos board from the interior of the mechanical room. The asbestos removal will be completed after the demolition of the existing mechanical unit and ductwork in the mechanical room. Any abandoned hangers will be cut off short of the ceiling and left to be moved during the abatement work. The exercise facility will remain open (not including locker room) during the construction process with limited shutdown where necessary for the safety of the users. The work shall be performed by a general contractor. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 210 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor will not be allowed to start on-site performance before the 91st day after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 236220, size standard $36.5M. This work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63118-3399. All sources interested in acquiring this solicitation shall register on fbo.gov as an interested vendor. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. All contractors must have a current registration on www.sam.gov (formerly known as the CCR) under the applicable NAICS Code to be eligible for an award. An IFB will be posted on or about 07/13/205 with bids being due on or about 08/17/2015. A site visit will be scheduled for late July or early August.
