Description

Questions and Answers - Round 1 VA118-15-N-0467 July 24, 2015 1) How many total users do you anticipate to use the application? At the present time the Debt Management Center (DMC) has a full-time equivalent ceiling of 229 employees with growth towards 275 in the next several years. Approximately 85% of the staff will be users of the application. 2) How many concurrent users do you anticipate to need simultaneous access at any given time? During the core hours (9:00AM-3:00PM) of the DMC daily operations it can be assumed that most of the employees will be using the application. 3) Is the modernization effort currently funded for FY2015 or FY2016? Funding is available for both years. 4) Has the Government determined a procurement strategy (e.g., set-aside)? The procurement strategy determination will be made based on the results of the Request for Information (RFI). 5) Will the vendor be required to host the solution? The vendor is not required to host the solution. 6) Can the Government provide details on the current document management system being utilized? Senergy is the current document management system in use. 7) Does the VA DMC currently have a TWAIN-compliant scanner? Yes. 8) Is solicitation VA118-15-N-0459 separate and distinct from solicitation VA118-15-N-0467? Yes, the RFIs are separate and distinct. 9) Does solicitation VA118-15-N-0467 replace RFI VA118-15-N-0459? No. 10) What is the relationship between solicitation VA118-15-N-0459 and VA118-15-N-0467? RFI number VA118-15-N-0459 is for the gathering of all requirements/processes that support DMC and develop a roadmap for transitioning DMC to a new set of tools in support of DMC. RFI number VA118-15-N-0467 is an offshoot of the VA118-15-N-0459 in which VA is exploring technology options to be considered as the roadmap mentioned above is developed.
