The current ground source loop temperature is well above the original design temperature resulting in poor efficiencies and frequent system failures. 2 recommended measures are below: a. Install and size a water cooler per manufacturers recommendations to convert existing geothermal system to a hybrid system. The water cooler would be used to restore the geothermal fluid temperature back to the original design value. b. Convert existing constant volume geothermal fluid system to a variable flow system. The existing system has VFD's installed on the circulating pumps, but currently they are being operated as constant volume. QC and Superintendent cannot be the same person (QC must be independent). The proposed project will be a, firm-fixed price, construction contract procured in accordance with FAR 15, Negotiated Procurement using "Best Value" trade-off process.
