Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego in connection with Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA is conducting an unclassified Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) to discuss a contract vehicle that will provide Information Technology (IT) Support Services for the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Monterey, CA, Naval War College (NWC), Newport, Rhode Island, and the United States Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, Maryland. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update of the procurement process, inform industry of program requirements, competition timeline, and to provide a networking opportunity. The two hour conference is scheduled for 24 August 2015 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM PDT, with sign-in from 9:00 AM PDT to 10:00 AM PDT, and will be conducted at the following location: Hilton Garden Inn 1000 Aguajito Road Monterey, CA 93940 For more information regarding the hotel, please visit: http://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/california/hilton-garden-inn-monterey-MRYMHGI/index.html. Each company will be limited to two (2) attendees. Due to space restrictions, attendance will be restricted to a maximum of 150 people. REGISTRATION WILL BE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS and will be restricted once the maximum number of attendees is reached. Interested parties shall forward their interest in this event by EMAIL ONLY to Michael Oliva at Michael.a.oliva@navy.mil. no later than 10 August 2015. Confirmation of receipt of email is highly encouraged. There will be no site visit at this time, so base security access will not be required. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this announcement. The anticipated date of an official solicitation posting is the first quarter of fiscal year 2016 (October- December 2015). Please note that these are only projected dates and may change. Any further updates to this requirement will be announced via NECO/FEDBIZOPS. Interested contractors are NOT required to attend the Industry Day in order to propose. The Industry Day merely allows interested vendors an opportunity to get a better understanding of the requirement, meet technical personnel, and network with other contractors. Industry Day is an additional form of Market Research for the Government as the RFP is constructed. Information discussed during the Industry Day may not necessarily be incorporated into the final RFP. When proposing, contractors must adhere to the requirements of the RFP and not issues or items discussed during the Industry Day. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
